"Nothing ever came between these two brothers…until she arrived." Sounds like the kind of tacky promo line that often covers up a small, worthy drama, and in the case of Moondance it's almost accurate, except for one minor item: to paraphrase Wayne and Garth, this small drama is "not worthy." Even Van Morrison tunes and a fish out of water performance by singer Marianne Faithfull can't distinguish this soaper about two unattended Irish siblings (Mom's in Africa) named Patrick (21) and Dominic (14), and the comely German tutor (Anya, 18) who falls in love with both. Shelved since 1994, director Dagmar Hirtz's film--trimmed of a sex scene and occasional language--could easily be mistaken for a TV-movie. Not a necessary purchase. (R. Pitman)
