Loosely based on Max Apple's memoir about his loving but irascible grandfather, this pleasant comedy-drama has Peter Falk as the cantankerous Rocky who comes to live with his doctor grandson D.B. Sweeney, and causes havoc with both his love life and his life in general. Too long and a little syrupy at times, there's still enough genuine fun here to recommend this. (R. Extras include audio commentary by star D.B. Sweeney. Bottom line: this amiable comedy makes a lackluster debut on Blu-ray.]
