Basically a 20-minute improv performed by a group of decent actors, this Planned Parenthood-produced video might--at most--serve as a springboard for discussion, since it tackles a lot of issues: besides the title topics, the troupe explores the double standard concerning sexual involvement for males and females, laws about child support, the necessity of STD testing for the sexually active, and infidelity, to name but a few. Unfortunately, this makes for a somewhat disjointed plot line, which isn't helped by the fact that the actors portraying young "teens" look much older. To add technical insult to narrative injury, it seems that every “special effect” option on the consumer-quality digital video camera was used for no apparent reason, which combined with the bad framing and lighting contributes to a decidedly amateur feel. As if all that weren't enough, the music is distractingly heavy-handed and inappropriate. Not a necessary purchase. Aud: J, H. (E. Gieschen)
