I don't always understand the pairing of music to imagery in nature music videos, but I submit that the sultry sax which accompanies shots of Ireland here in British Isles, one of eight videos in The Wonder of Creation series, is an incongruous fit--especially in a program which features "familiar sacred music." I'm also not sure that some of the songs blandly reproduced here qualify as "sacred." For liberal Christians, "I Don't Know How to Love Him" (from Jesus Christ Superstar) might pass muster, but under what criteria does the hippie/bubblegum ditty "Love Is All Around" ("I feel it in my fingers/I feel it in my toes") make the cut? Of course, most of the selections here are strictly spiritual ("Holy, Holy, Holy," "Jesus, How Lovely You Are," and "Give Thanks" to name a few), which is why this inexpensive program, featuring top-notch footage of England, Ireland, and Scotland, is a strong optional purchase. Other titles in the series ($79.95 for all eight videos) include: Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Lake District, West Country, Peak District and Yorkshire Dales. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)
