Not even America's sweetheart, the adorable Sandra Bullock, could draw audiences to this ill-conceived caper comedy written by and co-starring Denis Leary as a misfit blue collar criminal who lifts a $4 million Matisse painting. The constantly bickering couple (she wants the straight life, he doesn't) are forced to take it on the lam to a wealthy New England resort town where they set up housekeeping in a vacant mansion. Good chemistry between Bullock and Leary is wasted on witless plotting and stereotypical characters. Not recommended. (K. Benson)
