If you have a 9 to 18-year-old living in your home you must have noticed the unmistakable transition from friendly, easygoing child to surly, obnoxious teen. Welcome to hell (just kidding!) Meant to offer guidance to beleaguered parents, Help! I Have a Teenager offers decent if obvious advice about allowing choices, letting go, analyzing behavior and increasing self-esteem. Unfortunately, the tape is plagued with poor production values (cardboard charts and talking heads are witnessed through a shaky camcorder), uneven audio, bad scripting and acting (the scenarios meant to exemplify power struggles are unrealistic) and wandering conversation among interviewed experts (who drift into repetition and personal anecdotes). Not recommended. Aud: P. (E. Druda)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
