Speaking before a seminar audience, Dr. Jeff Astroth counsels potential caregivers on the basics of providing good oral healthcare for their patients. Combining pictures of healthy and unhealthy mouths, Astroth points out what caregivers should look for during an oral exam (which should be conducted every 6 months), and emphasizes that any uncertainty should prompt a call to a professional. Cutaway segments also show viewers the basics of brushing a patient's teeth and cleaning dentures. Although primarily produced with the elderly in mind, this program would be useful to anyone who is caring for a disabled or partially incapacitated person of any age. A good program at an excellent price, and a solid choice for both general medical and caregiver collections. Recommended. (R. Pitman)
