There are no easy answers to the sticky topic of sexual activity by teenagers. However, this video, the opener in a 4-volume series called Abstinence by Choice, seeks to educate teens so they can make responsible, knowledgeable decisions. Using a conversational, "friendly counselor" approach, the video explores the most important physical consequence of sexual activity: pregnancy. The three main courses of action are abortion, single parenthood, or adoption. Each possible choice is presented, with related pros and cons, and legal aspects of paternity are discussed, as well. The accompanying material offers plenty of follow-up work for the classroom. While not entirely objective (adoption is presented rather glowingly), this straightforward video is a good way to combat the excuse "but I didn't know..." The other three titles in this series on encouraging teens to choose sexual abstinence are Choosing to be Disease-Free, Emotional Choices: Not Just a Body and Social Choices and Consequences.
