Hosted by the inimitable Oprah Winfrey and featuring Dr. Kyle Pruett of the Zero to Three Foundation, Begin with Love: The First Three Months, produced by the non-profit organization Civitas Initiative, outlines five basic newborn nurture guidelines for confused first-time parents: take care of yourself; provide a loving environment; talk, sing, and read to your baby; create a predictable world; and respond to your baby's needs. Not only are the steps discussed for newborns and again for babies in the second and third months of life, the program also places a welcome emphasis on the importance of a father or father figure in a baby's life. While limited to a smaller age group than Ten Things Every Baby Needs (VL-11/00), this program--which is also available in a Spanish version entitled Empieza con Amor--is still highly recommended. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
