This is a friendly video that relies mostly on the charm of its host, Buddy "banned-for-life" Farnan, for intrinsic value, and not on the information imparted. Set with old-timey music and chapter frames, Farnan--who is no longer welcome at gaming tables in glitter gulch--demonstrates false shuffles, false cuts, palming, crimping, peeking, second dealing and stacking a deck, always reminding us that the "best card cheat in the world can't beat lady luck." You won't come away knowing how to do these things with any great skill, but it's fun watching Farnan dazzle with his lightning speed and diversion tactics. An optional purchase for larger con artist collections. Aud: P. (E. Druda)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
