Teenagers, who seem to be genetically hard-wired to believe that they are both omniscient and immortal, are also the most likely age group to engage in risky behavior, including "just trying" the ever-widening array of "club drugs"--a rather vague term that refers to any mind-altering substance used at raves, clubs, parties, or bars. In this straightforward video, a team of street-smart drug prevention specialists and their focus groups discuss the effects and dangers of the most popular drugs, while also exploring strategies for staying safe. While the presentation is nothing flashy--unfortunately, most programs built around focus groups suffer from poor camera and sound quality--the teens come off as real and sincere, and the information presented on drugs that include Ecstasy, Special K, acid, meth, and roofies, is up to date. While the price seems a bit steep, this is still a valuable resource for raising awareness in those teens who might have said no to "hard drugs" but could be susceptible to experimenting with dangerous club drugs.
