Although Dog Aggression: Biting is about preventing dogs from biting, it doesn't contain a single shot of a dog (let alone a biting dog) in 90 minutes of tape. Those expecting an action packed "When Good Dogs Go Bad"-type video, or a hands-on, how-to demonstration will be sorely disappointed by this program, which essentially features Dr. Ian Dunbar telling a room full of attentive women about his experiences controlling and training biting dogs. While Dr. Dunbar is a knowledgeable and engaging lecturer--even charming at times--I did find myself wanting to get out of the confines of the Marriot seminar room in which the lecture was filmed and see the theory in action. Nonetheless, the advice is often very good, and the story about the dog who bit anyone in the room who sneezed had a certain dramatic quality usually lacking in instructional tapes. Still, the one-camera, esoteric, seminar-based nature of the video may not be the most illustrative approach for the subject matter, and for that reason I consider this only a strong optional purchase. A companion volume, Dog Aggression: Fighting, is also available. Aud: P. (R. Ray)
