This is a good general video aimed at the 37 million sufferers of one of the nearly one hundred different types of arthritis. Hosted by Emmy-award winning physician Dr. Alan Xenakis, the program features interviews with arthritis sufferers Mickey Mantle and ex-New England Patriot Sam Adams. Dr. Xenakis' regimen is fairly straightforward: accept the illness, and then learn to live with it through proper exercise, nutrition, the best medical treatment, and a positive attitude. In the medical treatment section, particular information about everything from aspirin to over-the-counter drugs, and the successes of joint replacement surgery is discussed. The video concludes with advice about support groups and a set of exercises for strengthening and stretching stiff arthritic joints. A fine program, moderately priced. Recommended. (Available from most distributors.)
