Combining lots of action footage with slow-motion, freeze-frame and onscreen arrows, this follow-up to Gary Semics' Motocross Techniques Video (1991) is aimed at motocross enthusiasts (who, for my money, are folk with at least one loose spark plug). The program covers body positioning and movements, mastering the controls, starts, flow and concentration, and training, some of which is also covered in the first video. But, unlike the first tape, the sequel has 10 commercials (Semics' sponsors, whose products he claims he's been using for years; interestingly, the sponsors on the first video--which are only listed, not hawked--are slightly different). All in all, the information is good, but the commercials should have come at the beginning or end of the video, not tied directly into the editorial content. We would recommend considering the second video only if you've had a lot of interest from the first; those without the first should consider that one (priced $29.95). Both videos are being offered together at the "Special 2-Video Series Price" of $69.95, which my $5 K-Mart calculator tells me will save you a whopping ninety cents. (R. Pitman)
