In this low-budget video production, neck pain sufferer Ingrid Perle talks about the bad luck that lead to her expertise in this field, then gets right down to business. The first part is full of helpful methods to relieve pain, including different sleeping positions, using pillows, the proper way to hold the telephone, and an overview of various electric massagers available. The second part describes how to massage the neck, surrounding lymph glands, temple, ears, and scalp. The gentle movement therapy is demonstrated using neck extensions, head press, shoulder press, arm and shoulder movements, stretching, and correct breathing techniques. I would have been more impressed with some information from qualified doctors or therapists, and the addition of some simple graphics showing the muscles and bones affected would also have raised the credibility factor. However, when I tried the gentle movements on my tense neck they felt wonderful! Recommended. (E. Druda)
