A foundation chairman, a grant-writing professional and a consultant present an extremely simplified, common-sense approach to grantsmanship. After giving bare bones information about researching available grants, the tape discusses the twelve parts to a grant application, using on-screen titles to emphasize each step and sub-points. Citing humane societies, GED programs, and community service groups as examples of potential grant-seeking organizations, this program will likely be encouraging to non-profit groups seeking foundation money, even if the process is invariably more complicated and labor-intensive than this short presentation suggests. Pedestrian in most respects, it nevertheless walks the viewer in the right direction. Recommended, especially since precious little else is available on the topic in video. Aud: H, C, P. (R. Reagan)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
