Makeup pro Lisa Buono works on four faces here (including those of a Latin and black woman), concentrating on the application of foundation and corrective coloring and shading, followed by the construction of eyebrows, eyes, and lips. She also briefly mentions buying supplies, setting up your station, draping your client, practicing good communication, and "cleansing, toning, and moisturizing" skin before beginning to work. Unfortunately, the program is too advanced and lacking in solid detail for beginning makeup artists (what, I ask, is involved in "blending lines of demarcation at the jaw line"? And how exactly does one "drape" a client?), yet too simplistic and short to be helpful to those already working in the field. Not recommended. Aud: H, P. (K. Glaser)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
