The first title is a bit misleading, in that it is a seminar conducted in front of a group of business managers contemplating career changes-only a few of whom appear to be anywhere near college age. That quibble aside, and keeping in mind that this is a taped lecture, the speaker Peter D. Leffkowitz is the best we've heard on the subject of preparing for an interview. Leffkowitz covers the standard suggestions, but goes much further, with a lot less hype, and more common sense. In his "good match" philosophy, he counsels people to look beyond the "get the job" attitude to see if the company is right for them (and vice versa): by checking out the speed at which the company operates, the way staff members dress, how they appear when they arrive for work (enthusiastic or bored?), etc. The same depth of coverage that he brings to examining corporate culture, is also found in his treatments of every aspect of the interview process, including the wealth of information at your public library. The second title is a much more structured, but solid and entertaining approach to the interview process aimed primarily at high school students. Good segments on self-evaluation, using the library, looking for job leads, and presenting yourself to your best advantage in a job interview, are encompassed in an amiable framing device of a group of students starting at point zero and learning as they go along. Both titles are highly recommended, and relatively low-priced for business tapes. (Interviewing With Confidence is available from: Professional Training Specialists, P. O.
