Kids and dogs...the relationship is complex because they're so much alike. Both need attention, care and guidance in order to grow--and each considers the other a ready playmate (we often call my own dog, Harley, the "kid with the fur" to distinguish him from my nieces and nephews). The real difference, however, is that when a kid makes a mistake he is usually reprimanded and forgiven, while a dog may get sent to the pound for his behavior, or in a worse case scenario, even put down. Since 65% of all dog bites in America happen to children, Kids and K9's, amiably hosted by Peter Campione, could be a valuable resource for families considering a new pet. In appropriately bite-size segments, the program looks at picking out the proper leash and collar, teaches the basic commands of "sit" and "heel," suggests games that children can play with dogs, and offers safety tips for kid and canine interaction. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
