Morning sickness, bloating, greater body mass, restricted movements, and lower back pain--these are a few of the hallmarks of pregnancy that I'm personally all too familiar with. When I'm bothered by these classic symptoms, however, I can simply eject What 9 Months of Pregnancy and Dante's 9 Circles of Hell Have In Common, pop in a beer-making video, and my discomfort magically disappears. Pregnant women aren't so fortunate. Loving Pregnancy With Partner Massage offers a wonderful way for expectant moms and dads to alleviate some of those troublesome pains and have a little quality partner time to boot. The key is partner massage, and I should explain a crucial point here to male readers who are thinking "alright! I get a massage!" --this one's for the ladies. Massage therapist Ralph Napolitano and his pregnant wife Joanna offer viewers a hands-on demonstration of six mini-massages covering the shoulders and neck, back, head and face, arms and legs (one session for each side), and a special massage session for use during labor. The instructions are clear (and include proper warnings), the camerawork is good, and the idea is wonderful. Recommended. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
