After a brief introduction by Edgar Cayce's grandson Charles, this superb instructional video guides viewers through the making of 16 different recipes recommended by Cayce for various common ailments. Hosted by the amiable and well-spoken Ed Tillat, the tape demonstrates the mixing of recipes for a castor oil pack (arthritis, flu, cold, constipation), a peanut oil rub (arthritis, stiff joints), a skin softener, an epsom salt treatment, a vinegar and salt pack (injured ligaments), a potato poultice (eyestrain), a coffee foot bath, and others. Throughout, the visual image is crystalline, with excellent close-up work. While some homeopathic medicine books and videos are strange (to say the least) and often downright dangerous in what they suggest, Making the Edgar Cayce Remedies at Home is a carefully prepared program, which advises regular cautionary measures, but contains no potentially hazardous treatments. In fact, except for a recipe for sore teeth/gums, none of the potions are ingested--they are all applied externally. This is an excellent approach to alternative medicine, which benefits greatly from the video medium, and it is highly recommended.
