Although I am one of those people who would more than likely be found building my porch swing as opposed to my golf swing, I nevertheless found Michael Hebron's tape to be amiable, anxiety reducing and informative. In this remarkably plaid-free video, Hebron discusses how to build a golf swing, a golf body and a golf mind. (I might mention here that anyone who buys golf tapes probably already has a golf mind). He discusses concepts like backswing drag, clubhead lag and pressure snag (which, of course, could all serve as perfect names for trendy dance clubs). Fans of the links will learn about chipping using elbow folds, triangulation, body pivots and the index finger pressure grip method. I also learned how to address the ball ("if you fly off in the wrong direction again, I'm giving you to the dog to chew on...") and I laughed merrily when Michael mentioned that "the size of your divot can teach you a thing or two..." I'll say! Golf is an endless source of masochistic frustration for many of my near and dear friends, but $13.97 seems like a small amount to spend on a clearly demonstrated and thoughtfully presented technical brush-up on a good golf swing with an amiable, well spoken and well dressed PGA Master Professional. Recommended. Aud: P. (R. Ray)
