Jacqueline Adams holds a masters degree in dance from UCLA and is also a certified hypnotherapist. Interesting combo. Clearly, she had some career choices. She could have become an evil dance teacher hypnotizing shy unsuspecting students into a troupe of dancing chickens, or she could have become a fitness instructor who, believing in the union of mind, body, and spirit, would make videos dedicated to keeping bodies resilient and flexible through a regimen of stretching practices and guided imagery. Did you catch her on Letterman last week? Nope. Instead, she's made a video on a series of stretching exercises that will help keep optimum range of motion in aging muscles and joints (we learn that aerobics without flexibility can compromise inactive muscles and result in major injury and musculoskeletal problems). Viewers will follow a nicely paced exercise program--accompanied by lovely quasi-classical music--that massages "from the inside out." Kind of like a warm-up and cool down with none of the jarring pain in the middle, this is recommended for general viewers, especially those recuperating from Tae Bo. Aud: P. (N. Plympton)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
