From the producers of Sea Fans Video Magazine (CINDY award-winning series) comes a new project aimed at sailors. This issue kicks off with a look at the World 12-Meter Championships and an exclusive interview with the controversial America's Cup winner, Dennis Connor. The next segment "Sailing School" is about a unique class for would-be sailors, run by women for women. The beautiful local scenery of Cabbage Key, Florida is on display in a segment highlighting this ever popular cruise stop. Other segments include: sailing tips from Charlie Robinson on spinnaker use; interviews with members of the Bekens family, maritime photographers who have photos from the first America's Cup (1851) in their collection of over 100,000 professional photographs; cruising in the Virgin islands; a special race with midget sailboats to raise monies for handicapped children; and the wonderful closing segment on Lansing Taylor and his amphibious convertible, a'65 Chevy that does 60-70 miles on the highway and 8-10 knots on the waterway. Taylor says that sometimes the local police get after him, but he just runs down and jumps in the lake. The police don't follow. Another winner from Passage Home, and sure to be popular with patrons. Highly recommended. (Available from: Passage Home Communications, 7800 E. Miff Ave., Suite E, Denver, CO 80231; also from Baker & Taylor.)
