Intended to help young people deal with sexual harassment in the school environment, this program teaches viewers how to distinguish inappropriate behavior from “joking around” or “just flirting.” Sexual harassment—either from a peer or an authority figure—is defined as unwanted verbal, physical, or visual interaction that makes the target feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Interviews with real students (both male and female) and adult professionals, as well as realistic re-enactments, provide understandable examples. Students will receive practical advice on how to handle various situations, cope with the aftermath, and—on the other side—avoid crossing the line into being harassers themselves. The second half of Sexual Harassment at School consists of a supplementary educator's guide produced for administrators and staff that covers responsibilities in recognizing, preventing, reporting, and responding to sexual harassment (this section also discusses Title IX policies and grievance procedures). An informative primer on handling a difficult and unfortunately common problem, this is recommended. Aud: J, H, P. (E. Gieschen)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
