Actress Silvana Gallardo and actor husband Billy Drago present this workshop for aspiring actors, which emphasizes training that would aid would-be thespians in being able to move quickly from one emotion to another. Workshop attendees are shown engaging in exercises ranging from chaotic breathing (to loosen up the "instrument" or body) to singing "Happy Birthday" with varying emphasis on words, volume, and emotional accompaniment. As an introductory video for aspiring actors/actresses, this would be useful--even though to the ordinary viewer, the exercises might seem silly and even annoying (my dog, in fact, howled while listening to this program). The exercises based on sound principles which would be most helpful given the bizarre working conditions actors must endure. Also, a potential actor/actress who could not perform these exercises might well consider another profession. The only video of its kind on the subject, this program is recommended. (Available from most distributors.)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
