Mogul skiing. Now there's a sport that brings a tear to my eye just watching on video. Picture, if you can, otherwise normal people skiing as fast as they can over what looks like speed bumps in the snow! And this is no bunny slope, my friends. These yahoos fly down vertical mountains, flipping over and waving their skis in the air as they jump from one mound to the other. Now that I am in the midafternoon of my years, I can only scratch my rapidly balding head and wonder what my life would have been like if I had taken up skiing instead of librarianship--the two activities are so close! Do your patrons a favor and order a copy (maybe two, if you serve a clientele of skiaholics) of this fascinating video. It's non-stop action from start to finish, and the three highly photogenic young Canadian skiers make hurtling over the snow at an obscene rate of speed seem like fun! Three-time Canadian Mogul Champion (gee, there's a title I would have liked to work towards) John Smart offers concise instructions for mastering this insane sport and he sets his video to a wild, MTV-style music background that positively electrifies the already wound-up viewers. Put this one on your shelves and show your adrenaline-pumping patrons that a library CAN be a place where excitement runs rampant! Highly recommended. Editor's Choice. Aud: P. (J. Carlson)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
