I've never been so confused about food in my life. I understand the words "avoid sugar," but I don't understand how a carrot became a "funky food." Somers warns viewers to never eat fruit with anything, always wait 3 hours between protein-fat and carbohydrate meals, and if you're going to combine food groups... well...it's like defusing a bomb: you'd better know what you're doing. I watched the first volume of this 2-video overproduced variety show, which featured the friendly Somers spouting rules and regulations so fast it made my head spin. But you know what? She looks GREAT and if that's the real testimonial, this food plan is worth exploring...unless, of course, it's her ThighMaster. Meant to tie in with Somers' new bestselling book Eat Great, Lose Weight, the video "package" includes two videocassettes (Eat Great, Lose Weight and Think Great, Look Great), reference booklets, and recipe cards making it an optional purchase for libraries--due to the many accessories. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
