Remember the (now classic) scene in The Full Monty where the guys are standing in the unemployment line and each man practices his smooth moves to Donna Summers' "Hot Stuff"? Tai Chi Anywhere is built around the same concept; i.e., that viewers can benefit from very small movements of Tai Chi while waiting for the bus or sitting in a staff meeting listening to a droning supervisor. Dr. Paul Lam, a medical practitioner and Tai Chi master from Australia, has designed this highly adaptable form to introduce the benefits of Tai Chi to stressed-out, time-restricted, hurry up 'n wait folks in the real world. Lam uses both front and back camera angles to visually illustrate his instruction, while also describing the perpetual balance of mind and body, and explaining the healthy payback this ancient yet extremely popular "internal martial art" form produces. I don't think Dr. Lam was humming "Hot Stuff" while practicing his program, but, hey, when the opportunity for chi happens, go with the flow, baby. Highly recommended. A companion volume, Tai Chi for Young People, is also available at the same price. Aud: P. (N. Plympton)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
