Hey kids! We'll show you how to get the money you want and have fun doing it! Most teen jobs suck--low pay, no respect, and no future! Watch this video and operate your own business anywhere, with no money down! Despite the obnoxious infomercial approach, this tape has some excellent advice for motivated teens looking to take the plunge into the real world of small business. Cheesy looking interview segments with actors posing as teen entrepreneurs actually offer serious guidance about starting up several different types of businesses: errand-running, car-washing, recycling, creating custom t-shirts and a flyer distribution operation. Hard work is emphasized, along with courtesy, promptness, efficiency, research, licensing, and the importance of a written business plan. The ideas presented apply to anyone looking to learn about self-employment, not just teens. This tape would make a solid addition to most YA collections. Aud: J, H, P. (E. Druda)
