Watching this video as both a man and a parent, I felt this was a superficial and "all roses" view without much meat. The Center for Successful Fathering President, Dr. Ron Klinger, hosts the program via on-camera segments and recreations/dramatizations. Klinger discusses the benefits only a father can provide to his children and says that different opinions (meaning male and female) are natural and important. However, he never shows how to resolve conflicts that would arise between spouses over those differing viewpoints. The importance of teamwork, quality time, balancing work and the family, and taking an active parenting role are discussed, but the commentary seemed fairly simplistic to me. There are better parenting videos out there; this one is an optional purchase. (J. Scholtz)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
