The triathlon, an event which features swimming, cycling, and running, is the subject of this video guide, hosted by Dave "Iron Man" Scott, 1986 Triathlon World Champion. Each event is broken down into three areas: 1) Technique, 2) Training, and 3) Racing Tips. Scott continually points out that he is not, by nature, a swimmer, a cyclist, or a runner; but using some general guidelines and common sense, anyone can be proficient at the three sports, and may even excel. Stressing the importance of proper mental attitude and serious training in the general sections; Scott gets down to specific techniques for getting your maximum performance in each of the three events. If triathlon racing is big in your area, you may want to consider buying this title. And, even if it isn't, there is a lot of good general information on what are basically three everyday sports. Also commendable is the fact that Bud Light sponsored the video-but does not make its presence known during the tape. Recommended. (Available from most distributors.)
