Installing wallpaper is a chore that most of us would willingly pay a professional to do rather than undergo the torture ourselves: the necessary steps to doing it right look about as enjoyable as having an abscessed tooth pulled by a blind dentist. Fortunately, the hosts here--Louis and Beth Colon--do an admirable job of quieting the nerves of first-time paperers, presenting their instruction in a calm, measured manner as they tackle a breakfast nook. Viewers will learn how to remove the old wallpaper, prepare the walls for a new coating, measure for seam-free strips, mix the adhesive, and paper the walls. My one argument with the program is that it shows a ‘perfect' installation; I would bet that very few do-it-yourselfer's would be able to follow every step of the process without a mishap occurring, and some mistake correction advice would have been a welcome addition. Two other programs are also available covering Bathroom and Mural (installation of a photo mural). Libraries without similar fare might consider. Aud: P. (J. Carlson)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
