Walter Ray Williams, Jr., five-time PBA Bowler of the Year and all-time leading money winner is the host and instructor for this somewhat jumbled “how-to.” Beginners won't have a clue what Williams is talking about when he mentions “arrows” and “lane oil,” and will certainly be thrown off when a mere two minutes into the program he's addressing the subject of throwing hooks (but doesn't discuss ball selection until much later). Hitting on topics ranging from adapting to changing lane conditions and making spares, to proper arm swing and practice tips, Walter Ray Williams, Jr.'s Secrets to Better Bowling offers another instance of an outstanding athlete whose expertise is undermined by a badly organized production. Not a necessary purchase. Aud: P. (J. Carlson)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
