If finesse is one of the marks of a champion skater, it's also worth applying to instructional films: and this one gets a medal. Lots of imagination has gone into making this an effective, attractive program for young skaters, parents and spectators. The program begins with a visit to the pro shop where viewers get a close up view of skates and the blades which are the integral "tool" for creating a great performance. Moving to the ice, we see how these edges are used and watch kids demonstrating the major competitive jumps. The video concludes with a review, in which Coach Lora Cosumano invites viewers to test their ability to recognize each jump. Highly recommended for skaters, their families, and skate fans. Aud: P. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
