Presented by Micki Pappas, who has her own dollhouse-making business, this low-budget guide to creating dollhouses from kits takes viewers through two individual projects: a small house and a larger one with all the trimmin's (including a brick foundation skirt). After pointing out the various supplies needed for the projects, Pappas shares tips and techniques with viewers on the subjects of dollhouse wallpaper (which you want to install before your house is built, unless you have very small fingers), laying a sectional floor (and handling warped wood), and installing double hung windows and working doors, in addition to passing along basic guidelines for constructing the dollhouse from bottom to top. Although the information would surely aid the novice dollhouse maker, one wishes the program could have been a little slicker and contained references to where viewers could turn for supplies and more information. Purchase according to need and interest. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
