"You live, you learn" sings alt-diva Alanis Morisette and, scientifically speaking, she's correct: learning is as basic as breathing and eating. Using colorful animation and simple narration, How Children Learn cleverly introduces viewers to cognitive theory, drawing on the work of Erik Erikson, Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky. Largely determined by biological, emotional and social factors (particularly the latter two), "learning experiences" are critical during a child's primary grades as they build a pattern for later education.
