Lame sequel to Sam Raimi's clever thriller has Arnold Vosloo in the title role fighting his old nemesis Durant (Larry Drake). Undiscriminating action fans will like, but others can pass. (R. Pitman)[DVD Review—Sept. 4, 2007—Universal, 2 discs, 276 min., R, $19.98—Making their second appearances on DVD, this double-disc set includes 1990's Darkman, 1994's Darkman II: The Return of Durant, and 1995's Darkman III: Die Darkman Die. While all three films sport fine transfer, the set includes no DVD extras besides trailers. Bottom line: if you own the first Darkman on DVD, there's no reason to add this extra-less set with the lame sequels; if not, then this is definitely worth picking up, especially for low price.]
