Written and directed by horror novelist Clive Barker, this lame thriller offers us the exceptionally uncharismatic Scott Bakula as a private investigator tracking a supernatural enemy through the world of magicians and illusionists. 11 minutes of footage "too sexy and terrifying for theaters" have been added but the extra scenes didn't even register a blip on my consciousness. Lord of Illusions was only able to trick people out of $13 million at the boxoffice. (R. Pitman)
