Accused of murdering his wife in a drunken rage years ago, Dr. David Krane (Ray Liotta) escaped a trip to the big house on a technicality, and now devotes his life to finding her killer. Teaming up with University of Washington researcher Martha Briggs (Linda Fiorentino), who has created an experimental drug capable of transferring memory from one person to another (but has the unfortunate side effect of putting a terrible strain on the ticker), Dr. Krane shoots up (using a combination of Briggs' drug and fluid from his dead wife's brain) and goes looking for the killer in her memory. It's a great premise, but the plot sports more holes than a Whitman sampler that's been mugged by a chocoholic. A more accurate title would have been "Implausible." Not a necessary purchase. (R. Extras include “Unedited B-Rolls” (21 min.), “Star & Crew Sound Bites” interviews (12 min.), a “making-of” featurette (6 min.), and trailers. Bottom line: a handsome Blu-ray release of a forgettable film.]
