Decisively stepping into the consumer medical video ring with a whopping 30-title series, Time-Life's new consumer education series helps patients understand a diagnosis for a particular illness, outlines various paths of treatment and management, and answers frequently raised questions. Former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop offers boilerplate introductions to each of the segments, and the entry we watched--Stress & Anxiety--featured host Linda Ellerbee guiding viewers through the program and talking with experts in the field. Not quite as comprehensive as the Xenejenex series, these titles are nevertheless very good, inexpensive, and likely to be quite popular. Other titles include: Alzheimer's Disease, Back Pain, Depression, High Blood Pressure, Pregnancy, Stroke, and Ulcers. Highly recommended. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)
