Guinness Book World Record holder Bruce Crevier, who can spin 16 basketballs at the same time (which is actually 16 more than I can spin), talks about Attitude, Commitment, and Excellence (i.e. ACE). Spiffy graphics and plenty of footage of Crevier in action are combined with his comments about having a good attitude, setting goals (and sticking to them), and always striving for excellence. Crevier emphasizes that we are affected by the media diet (books, films, TV) we take in as well as our nutritional diet. He also advises kids to steer clear of drugs and alcohol and an "immoral lifestyle." What, exactly, Crevier means by "immoral" is anyone's guess--since there is no elaboration--but given the fact that a religious producer made the film (although there are no religious references at all), he might be referring to anything. Since the inspirational message (purely secular) is upbeat, however, this is recommended for larger collections for ages 6-12. A companion video, Bruce's Win, which features similar footage and talks about Work, Integrity, and Never Giving Up, is also available. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
