Facts about rape and assault listed on the back of the video seem to have doodley-squat to do with the subject of this video--car repair (although the tape does have a safety tips segment at the end with good suggestions for emergency situations). Primarily, however, this is a low-budget guide which details the items necessary for an emergency car repair kit, and then demonstrates how to fix common problems. Topics covered include changing a tire, overheated engines, a wet electrical system, battery problems, fuel injection system failures, and a preventive maintenance schedule. While the instruction is good, the editing is so-so, and the highway noise added to the voice-over offers more irritation than ambiance. Not a necessary purchase. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
