How to perform a few solo ballet sequences from Sleeping Beauty, yes; how to be a ballerina, no. Royal Academy of Dance instructor Debra Bradnum leads her young charges through a half-dozen solo parts. Unfortunately, Bradnum's students are far more up to snuff than viewers, who will be clueless when told to place their arms in "3rd position," as the arm positions are not discussed; nor, for that matter are the tools of the ballet dancer's trade: slippers and a tutu. A better choice would be Ballet for Children and Adults (VL-7/95). Not recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
