Is your toilet making "funny noises?" Here's what you do. Knock on the door (it might just be chili). If no one's in the bathroom, however, you're probably looking at replacing the inlet valve. Host Bruce Druliner shows you how to do that and more in this informative guide to troubleshooting and repairing problems which tend to crop up in Thomas Crapper's famous invention. Using good close-ups and onscreen text arrows, Druliner gives us a short course in Toilet Operation 101, lays out the necessary supplies needed for most jobs, and then tackles the problems of overflows, clogs, incomplete flushing, leaks, and flat-out toilet replacement. It's a relatively low-budget (but not amateur) production with a blatant ad for producer Rich Day's book (which could have gone at the end of the video), but outside of that, the $30 you spend here is going to be a big savings for patrons. Cripes, it costs more than that just for a plumber to ring your doorbell. Recommended. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
