Veteran instructor Roger Dick teaches a pair of ladies how to quickly and accurately dispatch an intruder to the land of winken, blinken and nod (no return trip) in this hands-on seminar on choosing, using, handling, and cleaning firearms. With a lot of emphasis on safety, Dick teaches the women how to shoot metal and clay targets thrown into the air (which is pretty impressive), and ground targets, such as spent shotgun shells. Starting with a BB gun, and moving up to handguns and shotguns, the women in the video become adept markswomen fairly quickly using Dick's natural body movement method. Later on, the trio visit Ed's Guns and look at revolvers, handguns, and shotguns, some of which are named, and some not (unfortunately). Less repetitive shots of the women shooting, tighter scripting, and better use of the video medium would have made this relatively low-budget tape a better choice. As it is, it's an optional purchase. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
