A well-meaning but info-lite low-budget effort, this short video features Dean Wilson singing and playing "Kids Don't Go With Strangers," a cautionary tune (with neat drawings to illustrate the well-written lyrics) about steering clear of strangers. The song is followed by two skits: the first involves a child being abducted by a woman in a car who claims she's been sent by the girl's mother; the second offers a rather unrealistic scenario in which a man kidnaps a boy from the back of the bookstore and tries to cart him outside past many shoppers. This subject area is fairly crowded with better, more informative choices such as Keyeye: "Making Kids Safe" (VL-7/96), How to Raise A Street-Smart Child, or Strong Kids, Safe Kids. Not a necessary purchase. Aud: K, E, P. (R. Pitman)
