Hosted by champion inline skater Mark Pollard, Let's Roll is a hip guide to choosing, maintaining, and--for the truly foolish--actually skating on inline skates, a very much in vogue form of recreational transportation which is only slightly more dangerous than riding bareback on a Scud missile. Viewers will learn the basics of forward skating, turning, and stopping, as well as a handful of safety tips, and get a rundown of the suggested safety equipment (unfortunately, Pollard talks about full body safety gear more often than he actually wears it--a rather dumb inconsistency. While a much better introduction than Beginner's Guide to Inline Skating or Learn to Rollerblade Without Killing Yourself (both VL-5/93), License to Skate: Inline (VL-12/91) is more comprehensive at half the price. Still, as an additional title in a popular area, this one's recommended. (R. Pitman)
