SAT instruction straight from the horse's mouth (The College Board makes the SAT), Look Inside the SAT 1 combines top-notch production values with solid advice to give college hopefuls a useful preview of the Scholastic Admissions Test. After a brief introduction placing the SAT in perspective (while important, SAT scores won't necessarily make or break an applicant's chances), the program hosts work with a two teens preparing for the SAT, sharing general tips and techniques for test-taking, as well as specific examples from each of the sections on the verbal and math tests. While nowhere as in-depth as Conquer the S.A.T. (VL-1/95), this brief overview is still a very good and exceptionally low-priced guide to the basics. Highly recommended. (R. Pitman)
