Stamped with the Arthritis Foundation's seal of approval, this is not the best exercise video I've seen for people with limited mobility (Catherine McRae's 2-volume Gentle Fitness [VL-11/94] is more comprehensive), but it's still pretty good. Aimed at people suffering from a wide variety of conditions--including arthritis, fibromyalgia, and osteoporosis--which rule out Jane Fonda-type exercise videos, the program features five people with arthritis performing four sets of exercises (sitting, standing, aerobics, and floor), as well as a relaxation exercise. The focus is on proper breathing and easy movements (with alternatives shown for many of the moves). Recommended. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
